Jay Park/Jaebeom is a singer signed to Sidus HQ Entertainment. He was originally a member and leader of popular idol group 2PM, but after questions were raised over some of his comments on his myspace he left the group, company, and music scene and disappeared for a large amount of time. Around late 2009, fans spotted Jay attending b–boying battles and at the “Breakin‘ 4Haiti“ charity event where he and his dancing crew “Art ofMovement” participated to raise money for victims of the Haiti earthquake. Finally, in 2010 Jay officially reappeared via YouTube singing his own rendition of B.o.B‘s hit single “Nothin On You.” In less than 24 hours the video reached over a million views, and sales and ratings of the original song sky rocketed over in Korea. Later that year Jay finally returned to Korea, and became a solo artist under Sidus HQ. In 2011, he released his first solo album and became the first Korean singer on Music Bank to receive a #1 award the same day as his debut stage. He music has received attention from both Korean and American fans.
