The ladies of After School have returned! And are now teaming up with Brave sound, which they havent done since the “Because of You” era, for their newest single “First Love”.
The girls immediately gained attention when it was revealed they would be pole dancing in the choreography of “First Love”, which takes the song on a whole new level. For those of you who don’t know, it takes incredible strength and endurance to pole dance, and I applaud anyone who can do it. And I furthermore applaud After School for doing it as well.
Like playing the drums for “Bang!” or tap dancing for “Shampoo”, After School has once again took on a new challenge which in turn has added flair to their performance and proves that After School is one of the best performers of KPOP.
Color Coded Lyrics for After School’s “First Love“.
Musical genius Henry Lau is FINALLY making his solo debut! Taking a break from promoting with Super Junior M, he is now performing on his own stage. And to add to the excitement, label mate and fellow member, Taemin of SHINee and Kyuhyun of Super Junior, are featured on his first single “Trap”.
I read the title of the song and I was like “It’s gonna be a LMFAO copy blah blah blah” and was immediately turned off.
THAT WAS A HORRIBLE MISTAKE!
This is probably one of my favorite tracks of the first half of 2013, and probably my favorite debut of the year thus far. It’s extremely catchy and I find myself wanting to dance to the entire thing (and I don’t have a rhythmic bone in my body).
The boys of Boys Republic are Universal Music’s (one of the largest music corperations in the world I might add) first KPOP group and it’s future goal for the boys is to become a world group. I’m not going to hold my breath on that last bit, but I’ll definitely look forward to the future releases for these boys.
Been awhile since we’ve seen these boys, huh? Well they aren’t going away yet! Rain’s boys are back! This time with their new single “Smoky Girl”. This, for me personally, is their best single yet. It’s even won the feat of knocking down my top MBLAQ song: “Y”.
Speaking of which, doesn’t the MV sort of brings you back to the “Y” days (The whole black and white/club scene)? And the lyrics of the song are nothing short of mysterious. It talks about a distraught girl who is as hard to grasp as “smoke”. And what’s even more amazing is that the masterminds of the song are three of the biggest names in the Korean music scene: Primary, Zion. T, and Simon D.
After over a year of waiting, one of KPOP’s top rookies of 2012 have returned with their first full album “XOXO” (See what they did there?) and are this time promoting with ALL 12 members and have a new single called “Wolf”. It has already gained attention for it’s very strong lyrics and creative choreography.
The album is set to release on June 3rd, and has several singles heard in the EXO teasers they released before debut such as “Baby, Don’t Cry”, “Black Pearl”, “My Lady”, and “Let Out The Beast”. So stay tuned!
TVXQ is back with their follow up track to “Catch Me” titled “Humanoids”.
“Humanoids” is definitely a track KPOP fans will fall for with it’s addicting techno melody and catchy chorus. And the MV isn’t just Yunho and Changmin dancing in a weird room…I was pleasantly surprised to find some acting scenes!
The wait is over all you INSPIRIT’s and HamsterGyu fans. The “Solo Invasion” has begun!! Leader Sunggyu has released his very own solo album titled “Another Me”.
The song and MV can be a bit confusing and be hard to understand at the first watch, but I found this lovely comment on allkpop that really explains it quite well.
syapeko – “So this is what’s going on in #INFINITE @leadergyu #Sungkyu’s new MV 60sec. So L sees the girl and wants to meet her. Time stops for 60sec and he sees their entire relationship play out right up until their break up. Because their relationship is doomed he decides to get up and leave his ring (by the way you never see it on his finger until he puts it on in the alternate timeline). In the current timeline (where they have yet to meet) she sees the forgotten ring and tries to give it back to him. L tells her to keep it because he already saw that they would break up. When she looks into his eyes she she is able to see the alternate timeline as well. This is shown by the alternate timeline video reversing quickly. This also resets the timeline so that they never meet. The scene where L offers her umbrella is the first time they would have met IF he decided to go with the relationship. But because he doesn’t he ends up alone. GENIUS!“
Dal Shabet has made a comeback after promising results from the release of their first full length album. This time the girls single “Have, Don’t Have” is a disco type song with cute lyrics about the girl’s feelings for a their lover.
There is also a 2nd MV of the single called the “Don’t Have” version which features the Electric Swing Remix of the song (Which I like better because it has that catchy electronic sound that reminds me of “We Don’t Speak Americano”.)
A-JAX has also returned tot he music scene with their first mini album and are promoting their new single “2MYX”. The song was made by the same producer of Girl’s Generation’s/SNSD’s “Run Devil Run” and is said to be a response to the the song.
Looks like November is going to be an exciting month for KPOP fans what with the enormous amount of groups and singers that will be making a comeback. And to start it all off we have everyone’s favorite flower boy’s Boyfriend with “Janus” and the talented trio D-UNIT with “Luv Me”.
